Examining the global impact of technology
The Globalization of Technology
In this episode we discuss what the globalization of technology really means, and how it’s going to affect our lives. The guest is Richard Dasher, director of the US-Asia Technology Management Center at Stanford University, and executive director of the Center for Integrated Systems, also at Stanford. In addition to his Stanford work, Dr. Dasher maintains an active consulting practice, working with governments and private companies in the US and Asia, advising them on technological trends and new business opportunities. He also speaks fluent Japanese and was the first non-Japanese person ever asked to join the senior governance of a major Japanese university, when he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Tohoku University in 2004.  He’s also served as director of the US State Department’s training centers in Japan and Korea. Martin Wasserman hosts
